I was happy to ge to the ground in Wales. Things here have always intrigued me. I wanted to get down and old school if I could. I loved reading about so many of the old traditions. One I managed to wiggle in on was being invited to a small party holding a wassail bowl. A wassail bowl was a lucky New Year tradition in Wales at the turn of the century, and the ornate bowl would be filled with fruit, sugar, spices and topped up with warm beer.
